Hawaii Women Lawyers Rally Like It’s 1973 to Commemorate 50th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade

January 20, 2023 @ 11:00 am

HONOLULU, HAWAII, January 13, 2023 – Hawaii Women Lawyers, in collaboration with
Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates, the Hawaiʻi Abortion Collective and ʻŌiwi TV
invite the public and community leaders to join us in commemorating the last 50 years
since the landmark decision Roe v. Wade and to learn about Hawaiʻi’s ongoing efforts to
support reproductive justice and freedom for all persons.

“The decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization has been devastating
but not defeating,” said Molly Stebbins, President of Hawaii Women Lawyers. “Hawaii
Women Lawyers stands with the many other groups and individuals across our
community who are mobilizing to ensure that in Hawaiʻi there continues to be safe
reproductive healthcare access for all, regardless of place of residence, and that our
medical professionals are protected against any efforts by other states to impose the
reach of their abortion bans and restrictions on Hawaiʻi. Together we must remain
steadfast in our commitment to protecting all people’s fundamental right to bodily
autonomy.”
